Between visits: what to agree with your clinic
Agree on records, responsibilities, contact channels and review routines. Understand clinic-linked app records and why syncing is not a read receipt.
Agree on a plan before adding more entries
Weight-management follow-up involves more than choosing where to write things down. You need to know what your team has asked you to record, how it will be used and how to raise a question. WHO frames obesity care as long-term and person-centred, with support from health professionals. An app can support that conversation; it is not a care team.
Ask your clinic which information matters in your situation. Weight, measurements, food and symptoms can play different roles in different care plans. A manageable list explained by the team is easier to understand than an expectation to fill every field without knowing why.

Know who reviews the history and when
If your clinic uses myMON and has provided an active link for your account, synced records can be available in its authorized panel. That does not confirm that someone has opened an entry or that a person watches every update. Ask the team to explain how your records fit into its appointments and follow-up.
Your agreement can distinguish information reviewed at your next visit from questions that need contact sooner. Review frequency, responsible professionals and available contact channels depend on your clinic’s service. Do not assume that the app includes a real-time clinical response.
Keep a short contact checklist
Write down the clinic’s answers somewhere easy to revisit. This is an organization checklist, not a medical protocol or a promise that clinical services come with your app subscription.
- What has the team asked me to record, and how should I explain a question?
- Who reviews the records, and when does that review happen?
- Which channel should I use between visits, and what response time was agreed?
- How do I separate an app problem from a treatment question?
- Where should I seek care when I cannot wait for the next appointment?
Check the account link before repeating information
If an entry does not appear where you expect it, check the account you have opened, the connection and the link your clinic provided. Compare the entry’s date and type before adding it again. When reporting a technical problem to support, describe what happened without posting health records or personal health information in public channels.
myMON also offers individual access. An individual subscription does not link you to a clinic or purchase a medical consultation. When a clinic provides active access, ask it how that access will be used as part of your care.
Review the process at your next visit
At your next conversation, explain what was straightforward to record and what was difficult. Show examples of useful entries and gaps, without treating a missing entry as a conclusion about your treatment. Your team can advise which information remains useful for your care.
myMON organizes records and reminders. It does not provide emergency care or triage, and it does not replace professional assessment. If a situation cannot wait, follow your team’s care instructions or seek a health service. Syncing a history entry should not be used as a request for urgent help.
myMON is a tracking companion. It does not replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Always follow your clinician’s prescription. Medication names belong to their respective owners.
